Admissions for Year 7 Entry September 2025
The deadline for applications for Year 7 September 2024 entry is by midnight on Thursday 31st October 2024. Before applying to the Academy it is recommended that you read the full details of our admissions process. In addition to the application to the Local Authority, all applicants must complete the online Supplementary Information Form by 5.00pm on Thursday 31st October 2024.

Open Week Tours
The Academy invites parents, carers and Year 6 children to experience our setting during a 'typical' day.
Take a tour with our Senior Leaders and students.
Our Open Week Tours will run from Monday 30th September until Thursday 17th October, bookings will go live on Monday 23rd September. Call: 01933 226077 to reserve your slot.
Year 6 Information Evening
We invite parents, carers and Year 6 children to our Co-Principals' presentation to find out more about the Academy and the admissions process which takes place on Monday 7th October and Tuesday 8th October 2024.
Each attendee will require a ticket as this is a seated event in our state-of-the-art Auditorium. To book your place please click here.

Year 7 September 2025 Appeals Information
Information about allocated Year 7 school places for September 2025 will be sent out by the local authority on Monday 3rd March 2025.
If you have not been allocated a place at Sir Christopher Hatton Academy at this time, you have the right to appeal against the decision.
All appeals will take place online. To submit an appeal, please refer to the Guidance Notes for Parents for further information. Should you decide to proceed with an appeal, you must complete the notice of appeal form via the following link.
Deadline for lodging an appeal - Friday 25th April 2025 midday
The Appeal's Administrator will send notification of the hearing (Date and Times), and the statement of case directly to the appellants.
Deadline for appellants to submit additional evidence - Friday 23rd May. Please note that the panel may not be prepared to accept any additional evidence that is submitted after this date. Additional evidence can be emailed to admissions@hattonacademy.org.uk.
Proposed dates of appeal - Stage 1 & 2 will take place during the week commencing 16th June 2025. The specific details will be confirmed by the Appeal's Administrator once final numbers have been determined.
Appeals made after the deadline are at risk of not being heard before the start of the September term. Hearings will be subject to when the late appeal was made.
